The events of the play take place in several scenes in a satirical manner of Arab differences. The show clarifies the weaknesses of the Arab nation and their causes, embodies some of the problems they suffers from, but in a comedic manner. The theatrical text also contains many of the social and political paradoxes and projections that our Arab world is going through, which disturb the conscience of every Arab citizen.
The play includes a group of panels. Each panel discusses an Arab situation in particular and deals with the crisis between the top and the bottom, which is the eternal problem between the president and the subordinate, as the people are always the victim. Each panel carries a specific title, such as “The Summit Conference,” “Enlightening the City,” and “The Citizen and the Dog.” ", "Tame", "Tariq bin Ziyad", "Arabs 2050", "Surprise" and "With Soul and Blood". The performances were well received by the viewers, especially since the show was the first play that brought the artist Duraid Lahham back to the stage after a break of more than twenty years.

“The epic of al-Dad”
The play discusses some of the problems that have occurred in the formal Arabic language, such as the conflict between classical Arabic and the difference in dialects used by Arabs. The face of the conflict is the nature of thinking and how the colloquial dialect is superficial in thinking and does not require much effort, while classical Arabic is deeper in thinking and more meaningful. Another problem is the introduction of a group of foreign words and terms into the Arabic language.
The hero of the play tries to show that the difficult methods of teaching the Arabic language are the reason behind its lack of use and the reluctance of young people to learn it and their lack of interest in the formal Arabic language, the point where they have become like long, useless nails and the time has come to scrutinize them.
In the end, the hero gives energy of hope that the only conviction is that the Arabic language is the best dress and that it is beautiful in all its meanings because it is the language of the Holy Quran. It is firmly rooted on earth, and the West is now trying to learn it and borrow from it in a large way. “A Saga of Treachery” expresses life thoughts and values that haunt the human soul on the paths of life, along with the wisdom and attitudes that a person can gain through it. The text itself is full of extracting experience from the journey of a person lifetime.
The show emphasizes some noble values that should be possessed, such as sincerity, giving, and love for family and country, which are the same qualities that the writer depicted for the hero who suffers betrayal from the people closest to him. The viewer finds himself on a date with a person whose heart is full of tears and wounds, in which he mourns the betrayed and the robbed, and whose soul searches for the unknown that has been lost for many years. Despite all the appearances of life that deceive others that one is enjoying, a person may lives with successive frustrations and feels an emotional void, missing him his friend, brother, wife, and son.

The shapes suggests strength to everyone who sees it not moving from its place as a result of the stability of its imagination that it is burdened by the legacy of the past, the greatness of history, its victories, and its steadfastness in the face of the winds.
Then the spirit of heroism and history of the Arab nation is awakened, because all these conspiracies will inevitably disappear. How many times the Arab nation has been subjected to rings of fire, but it has become stronger, more brutal, and possesses a power that its enemies envy.

Its sole purposeful comedy play where the events revolve around the Arab world and what is happening in it, where there are political, social, economic and media projections, as well as many problems faced by Arab families.
All this and more through a comedic form that stays away from vulgarity and extravagant comedy. But in the end, it renews hope for salvation from evil through human solidarity and their desire to achieve peace and justice.
